Psycho Daisies - Return From Blood Island

PSYCHO DAISIES
Museum of Contemporary Arts, North Miami, July 24, 2008 |
Psycho Daisies celebrate their 25th anniversary as a band with their first new studio album in five years, Return From Blood Island.
Johnny Salton and Dave Froshnider started the Psycho Daisies in 1983, as a side project to their “regular gig” with Charlie Pickett & the Eggs. When the Eggs disbanded in 1985, Johnny and Dave went full-time with the Daisies, releasing their debut album Pushin’ Up Daisies on Sublapse records. Their second album, Sonicly Speaking was named by Byron Coley as one of the top 80 records of the 1980s in Spin Magazine.
The Daisies featured on the new album are Johnny Salton-guitars/Billy Ritchie-keyboards/ Jill Kahn-bass/Lisa Nash-vocals/ Robert Johnston-drums.
Lisa Nash’s singing and songwriting adds a pop edge to Johnny’s natural fuzzy, reverbed, swirling garage psychedelia, and it is GOOD, a new synthesis, a unique taste for your ear canal, an explosion of color in a world gone monochrome....
